Broadcast Notes:
“Now to Him who is able to keep you from
stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with
great joy, to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be
glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time, and now and forever.
Amen.” Jude 24-25 (ESV).
- You cannot add
or subtract to what Jesus accomplished for you.
- When you
receive the Gospel, Jesus becomes your Saviour, not your enabler.
- God grounds
your freedom to reject or receive the Gospel - because it is for freedom
that Christ has set you free.
- To grow as a
Christian, your greatest need is not moralism or therapy - it is for the
Holy Spirit to apply the Gospel to the heights, depths, and breadth of
who you are and what you do.
- You are not so
good or so important that you do not need the Gospel; and you are not so
bad or so unimportant that God does not offer the Gospel to you.
PRAYER:
Father, thank you for this word.
Thank you for Jesus, Thank you for his death upon the cross. Thank you for his
resurrection. Thank you that he appeared to many, to establish, he really had
risen from the dead. Thank you for your love for us. Thank you that Jesus has
done everything that has to be done to make me right, and any person right who
puts their faith and trust in Him.
Father, lead us to Jesus and may the
Holy Spirit, Father, apply the Gospel to our hearts.
This, we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
