The following is a
shortened version of a Sermon I preached at Church of the Messiah. It was part
of a sermon series on the Book of Romans called "Grace Shaped Life".
‘To God Alone The Glory’
Dear friends, this
talk is a shortened version of a sermon I gave at the Church where I serve as
Pastor. It was part of a series where I preach through all of the Book of
Romans. The series is called, "Grace Shaped Life"
1. Human beings love
titles. God loves right action.
2. There is only one
Gospel from the one true God to every person.
3. God desires to use
every person gripped by the Gospel to make a powerful difference for His glory.
4. The Bible, read
from the perspective of the biblical Gospel, is God's gift of an unendingly
'healthy virus' for every society.
5. God's grace grows
in me the self-possession to be self-effacing in serving to the glory of God.
6. Heavenly Father, please make me a disciple of Jesus
gripped by the Gospel, who so reads Your word written, that my mind conforms to
Your pattern of sound teaching, and serve You with self-effacing joy, in the
power of the Holy Spirit, to make a difference in the World for Your glory.. In
Jesus' name, AMEN.
